RHONDA ALLEN
FOUNDER, EXECUTIVE COACH, PEOPLE & CULTURE CONSULTANT

After 25 years leading HR teams across diverse industry sectors in Canada, the United States, Australia and across Asia Pacific, Rhonda shifted her focus in January 2018 to build Bright Big Life, a coaching and consulting practice that’s grounded in her passion to help individuals and teams realize their full potential. Rhonda is known for her highly intuitive, compassionate approach, balanced with an innate drive to be the supportive and challenging partner her clients need to get results.

Rhonda studied co-active coaching with CTI and is a ACC accredited coach. She holds credentials and certifications in Leadership Circle and Leadership Circle System, iEQ9 Enneagram Certified, Korn Ferry Leadership Architect and KF360 and holds a Bachelors of Commerce Degree, Majoring in Human Resources.

My “Happy Place”
is anywhere my family is, Balmoral Beach in Sydney, or in any vibrant, buzzing, global city or anywhere I’m surrounded by mountains and I could keep going...  I have so many!
When I’m at my best I'm energized, creative and confident that anything can be achieved that you put your mind to.
What I know to be true on the topics of Leadership and Culture is that the capacity to lead exists within all of us.  Leaders who are willing to be open and vulnerable enough to do the work on themselves first are the leaders who also inspire others to become their truest, best selves.

TIA SPOWART // PEOPLE & CULTURE COLLABORATOR

Tia likes to say that she has taken the scenic route of life.  After studying Fashion Marketing and graduating from Parsons, The New School, in New York City, she jumped into the corporate Fashion world.  Growing through various companies, she has built several communication platforms and business programs and developed a skill for event-planning that she didn’t know was hiding inside. She has always had a heart for People Development and she believes that in the right environment, we can achieve personal vibrancy and professional excellence.  With a backbone in health and wellness, a passion for culture development, a love of writing and content creation, she is thrilled to be working alongside Rhonda Allen at Bright Big Life! 


And in her own words...

My “Happy Place” is either on the side of the mountain (sun, snow…just get me outside) or on a podium, teaching at SoulCycle! At SoulCycle, my job is to unite a room of individuals and to create a series of moments in time that inspire, uplift, encourage and empower our community. Sealed with sweat, those powerful minutes change the course of people’s lives and we rise up together, stronger and unified.   
When I’m at my best I am motivated by the hearts and souls of those I am working with and no task is too big or too small.  
What I know to be true on the topics of Leadership and Culture is that the strongest, most inspiring leaders are those working on the bottom rung of the ladder: servitude leads to gratitude.

KARINA HORTON // PEOPLE & CULTURE COLLABORATOR

With a degree in Business Administration and a background in Human Resources, Karina has focused most of her career on People & Company Culture. She realized early on that employee happiness results in a productive, positive workplaces. She brings experience in Recruitment, Onboarding, Training, Orientations, Recruitment, Policy and Procedure, Employment Contracts and HR Technology. In 2019, Karina joined Rhonda's movement in empowering humans to live their brightest and biggest lives as a People & Culture Collaborator!

And in her own words...

My “Happy Place” is the back porch of my 5 acre mini farm watching my goats, chickens and dogs play.
When I’m at my best I'm positive, motivated and determined to succeed.
What I know to be true on the topics of Leadership and Culture is that the word human should never be taken out of human resources; management/employee trust starts from day one; positivity in the workplace creates productivity, and company culture should be created and sustained from the top levels of leadership down.

DARCY WINGERT // EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT

After graduating with her Bachelor’s in Business Administration, Darcy spent the last 10 years in various industries such as non-profit, craft beer, and wedding and event planning. She is known for her special eye for details and as the go-to person to get stuff done.  She is excited to now be working closely with Rhonda at Bright Big Life on all things organization, coordination and execution.

And in her own words...

My “Happy Place” is anywhere in nature, but more specifically it would be on Galiano Island with my family. Not only does it recharge me, but it is also the place where my husband and I got married.
When I’m at my best I am laser-focused and can accomplish a lot.
What I know to be true on the topics of Leadership and Culture is that people do their best work when they have purpose and are treated with trust and respect."
